She'll also have to overcome various arena challenges thrown at her when she's a captive in the DUP Conduit prison. I found these segments of the game less compelling than the free-roaming segments and Seattle missions, with far less interesting scenery and less free-form gameplay. Fans of high score challenges will enjoy these segments, though, and the game does a good job making the mandatory arena segments simple and the optional fights brutally challenging.

The cherry on top of the sundae here is that inFAMOUS: First Light looks and sounds fantastic. On top of the fantastic modeling and visual effects that we also saw in Second Son's Seattle, Fetch's flashback scenes of her past are done in lovely neon-tinged animation. The character performance capture is also impressive, especially Fetch's facial expressions in her close-ups. This visual environment is enhanced by the game's lively score and fantastic voice acting. I especially enjoyed Christine Dunford as Brooke Augustine, whose dialogue is just dripping with implied menace. Laura Baily as Fetch also turns in a strong performance, although her unspecified (definitely not Seattle) accent isn't entirely consistent.

First Light is an excellent introduction to the inFAMOUS series for new players, and series fans will enjoy this game's story and focused gameplay. Male and female players alike should enjoy playing as Fetch, thanks to her strong characterization and entertaining powers. In addition, the look and sound of this title serve as a good reminder of what the current generation of consoles have to offer. Go ahead... dip your toes into the world of inFAMOUS with this title, and don't be scared to feel the neon. Fetch says it's tasty.

Excellent voice acting and strong score.

The main campaign is brief, but First Light's many challenges provide a decent amount of content for a downloadable title.
